Dear Valued Guests
Due to extreme flooding on September 24th and 25th, the entire Franschhoek Village has been temporarily cut off. Roads partially reopened on September 26th, but all utilities, including electricity, water and telephone connections are still down. Accordingly all hotels, restaurants, shops and businesses in the village have had to close. Regrettably Akademie Street Boutique Hotel is no different.
Our staff are working hard to contact guests who are due to arrive in the coming days. If you have made your booking via a Tour Operator or Online Travel Agent it is likely we will not have your contact details, as these are typically not shared with us prior to arrival. In such circumstances we will contact your booking agent and ask then to get in touch with you directly.
However, should you wish to contact us, we would ask that you email, message or WhatsApp call our Operations Director, Manette on:
We sincerely apologise for this inconvenience. These events are truly unprecedented and beyond our control.
We value our guest relations highly and will do our utmost to assist you in whatever way we can.
